Family vacation in Branson was just a blast! I consider myself so blessed to be in this family and to have been able to spend a whole week with these cool people. After we dropped the kids off at Kanakuk [where God suprised me with my co-counselor from when I was working at kanakuk!!] we were able to spend a day at the lake riding a zip line, playing on a barn swing, kayaking, blobbing, water-trampolining [not a word, I know...but it's fun to say.], sliding, trapezing, and diving. We rented Wave Runners one day, and to my credit I knocked Sam off. We also boated and wake-boarded, along with lots of swimming and hiking and laughing.
The whole trip was memorable for many reasons: first is that Alissa kept refering to our "RV in a State Park vacation" as our "trip into the jungle". Which was quite humorous as you can imagine. Secondly, Caleb, fulfilling his role as the youngest child, got almost all the attention because he was just so darn cute. Thirdly, campsites in the summer provide much redneck entertainment. Be sure to ask about the creeper on the raft with a cooler of beer who was video-taping himself and invited us to go boating with him.
We came back last Saturday night tired and brown. :)
