Our Father who art in heaven,
We indeed hallow Thy name … at least as much as our pride allows.
Indeed we ask Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven … at least as long as You retain enough earth to make us feel comfortable.
This day our Daily Bread you are … but we will fill ourselves with others, too.
Forgiveness we need. Yes, here in our praying we pause. Forgiveness we need for these here. And if indeed You were to forgive us for them the way we forgive those who we are to forgive … well, forgiveness simply would not happen.
And so, Dear Father in heaven, hallow Thy name again in our lives. Crash our earth with a sense of Your heaven so that even while our world spins we are struck with the utterly aweing will of Your Father heart.
Reorient us to prayerful transformation through these transformative prayers.
And we will love you. Poorly. Incompletely. Imperfectly.
But love, nonetheless.
Loose us to love You more.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever.
Amen.
