I'm really weary today. I've been running around like crazy since 5:45 am. There are people staying in my room and homework to be done and lots of tutoring and lots of cherished girls wanting to talk and workouts to be run and events to plan and classes to engage in and reading to be done and …
In the middle of it all, I told someone about You. I told them You're my Yellow Bird. I told them how I love you. How You love me.
And You caught me by surprise there. Your long arms reached through that cracking glass and tapped me on the shoulder. You caught my breath, I suppose some would say; like I found You looking at me that way You always do.
I love You, my Yellow Bird. The sweet candor of Your presence and the tenderness of Your affection, the way You keep me abiding when I am so uncertain, the way You make me wait when I'm eager, the way You remind me it's worth it.
I love You, I do.
I don't know any other love besides Yours. Besides You.
