Edelweiss Hope.

The world is somber and cold, lying beneath the heavy blanket of white.

Nothing moves, nothing stirs this December midnight.

The little light outside my window is stale, a shroud hanging on each building overpass.

The world is bland, frozen, black and white.

And then there's me. And there's You.

Here in this little room in the wall, You're nourishing, I'm growing.

Like an incessant Edelweiss, you give me bloom in the night.

And hope that spring will come.
