Tonight I had dinner with a former professor from Moody. We met on the campus, drove to her favorite burger place, ate and talked about all thing wonderful, and she drove me back to get my bike. I found myself quickly absoved in the wonderful of Moody campus at night. The plaza was empty and still. Flooding back to me came the many memories I had among those brick walls. I was delighted and filled with longing.
I miss it.
I truly loved it.
So much good came from my days at Moody. The people I met, the classes I took, the reading I devoured, the professors I sat under, the speakers I heard, the administration I followed… all have been a part of building the person He is making me to be.
Great is Thy faithfulness, oh God my Father;
There is no shadow of turning with Thee;
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not;
As Thou hast been, Thou forever wilt be.
Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see.
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided;
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!
Summer and winter and springtime and harvest,
Sun, moon, and stars in their courses above
Join with all nature in manifold witness
to Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.
Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see.
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided;
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!
Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth
Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide;
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!
Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see.
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided;
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!
